Inexpensive stereo mixing consoles can be used, although complex panning will be difficult. The mixer will need a stereo bus, and one pre-fader auxiliary send. Set the stereo bus to Left and Right, and the auxiliary send to Surround. There will be no connection to the Center input of the SEU-4 in this case. Use the pan knob on the mixer to pan between the Left, Center, and Right channels. To steer to Surround, bring up auxiliary send, and lower the fader on the signal. Mixing consoles with at least two stereo busses can be used in a similar way, by panning between Left and Right on one bus, and panning between Center and Surround on the other.
